And when she nudged me towards some kitchen magic, I chose a bacon cheeseburger, and holy smokes, it was life-changing! Juicy, cheesy, bacon-loaded perfection. One bite and I was sold on the whole menu. I ended up hanging out for over an hour, watching delivery drivers line up (at least eight of them!) to carry these delicious creations out the door. Seriously, if you find yourself in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor: grab a bite, pull up a chair, and let Gina work her magic. “ THIS IS A DIVE BAR. I preface this by saying there is no reason the food should be this good unless their cook is a freaking wizard. One, The pickle SPEARS ARE TO DIE. The burger is one of the best I've ever had IN MY LIFE and those wings are INCREDIBLE. Beer is COLD, service is top notch. Idk why this place isn't jam packed rafter to rafter. I WILL be coming back. ”

“ Whoa, not what I was expecting. It was a thousand times better! We were welcomed warmly and our drink orders were taken quickly. We went at 11:30am. It was pretty dead. By 12:15, almost every table was full! The locals know what's up. The all-you-can-eat-fish was to die for; the cod was well-cooked and piping hot. Turkey sandwich was way more than my daughter could eat and my Rueben was almost gourmet. The burger filled up my 6' teen son. The service was amazing. Our poor server was so busy, but she still made sure we got checked on, and she was a total gem in general. The phone was ringing off the hook with take-out orders. Oh, btw, the beers they have on tap...definitely worth checking out! We were stranded in a city we were totally unfamiliar with and I consider myself VERY lucky to have found this delightful place. If we ever have a layover in Detroit again, we will not miss the chance to revisit Wild Willy's! Thanks so much!!! ”
